The Tornashean is in an ideal location for people who are interested in fishing holidays in scotland as it overlooks the Don River. It is surrounded by sixty five acres of local policies meaning it is a perfect base for walking holidays in Scotland. This lodge was built during Georgian times and is extremely spacious ideal for very large families or a group of friends or workmates wanting a perfect area for team building activites inclusing a wide range of outdoor pursuits.
The lodge has seven bedroom which are doubles and one room which has bunkbeds so that gives plenty of room for sixteen people to sleep. There is a dining stroke kitchen area with a table that is sixteen feet long and can accommodate all sixteen people who are on the walking holidays in Scotland. The sitting room has enough seating and room for everyone to sit down so you can tak about the fishing holidays in Scotland. For those who fancy a game of billiards we have a full size table in the games room and we also have a quaint little snug with a television.
We do not allow pets to stay in the actual rooms at our accommodation, however if you would like to bring your pets on your walking holidays in Scotland we do have outside kennels which are fully insulated so there is no need to worry about them getting cold, there is also adequate ventilation and space for three large dogs.
The Tornashean is a place that we can guarantee is a perfect place to spend your fishing holidays in Scotland a perfect base for exploring the Aberdeenshire highlands. There are some well known rivers that you can frequent during your fishing holidays and has some spectacular views and landscapes that you can view on your walking holidays.
On your walking holidays we have a walk where you will cross over the Wooden bridge to Brughs ,the cottage across the river from Tornashean. Turn right onto the road. walk for two minutes until you reach a forestry clearing on the left - with a pole as a gate. From here there is a new and well defined track that leads up into the forestry to the left. Follow this track through the forestry and eventually it will come out on the road near to Strathdon Kirk out half a mile down the back road. Walk back up the little road on the south side of the river and turn right onto the track which leads back down through our woods and back over Poldhullie Bridge to the house. This walk will take about three quarters of an hour.
