village with a shop and hotel serving food is also home to the Lonach Gathering,
an event not to be missed during the summer (often attended by Billy Connolly

Excellent walking can be found on the doorstep as well as trout and salmon fishing,
bird watching, shooting, and golf in nearby Ballater. Shops and pubs in village.
